  • Why do I need to verify my information?

    We aim to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful memories in our cozy spaces. For us to do so, we would truly appreciate it if you can follow these house rules and confirm they have been reviewed within 48 hours of your booking.


    As we continue to work towards ensuring the safety of our guests and employees, we are now requiring that each guest go through our guest verification process. Due to the increase in stolen profiles, credit cards, and identity theft, Mitten Housing uses a 3rd party guest verification provider. We require our guests to submit a photo copy of their drivers license along with a photo selfie (your information will never be used / sold in ANY way outside of vetting your arrival). Additionally, we require all guests to sign a Rental Agreement. Mitten Housing is implementing this additional step to better protect guests from stolen profiles / identity theft and safeguard its homes and neighborhoods and be compliant with all regulations that govern short term rentals.

  • What is the check-in process like?

    Our services provide a hassle-free and efficient self-check-in experience utilizing smart keypads. Detailed guidelines are dispatched 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival through a digital "boarding pass." Upon successful check-in, an exclusive key code will be assigned exclusively for the duration of your stay. In the event that you require new access codes, you can conveniently request and generate them using your designated "boarding pass."

  • Why am I being charged a security deposit?

    To ensure a worry-free stay, please note that security deposit holds are a standard requirement for some booking platforms, except Airbnb and Booking.com. You can find detailed information about security deposits in the listing details on the booking platform you used to secure your reservation. These deposits are intended to cover any potential damages or incidentals that may occur during your stay.


    Rest assured that after your check-out, a thorough inspection of the property will take place. Only in the event of damages or incidentals, the security deposit will be charged accordingly. We prioritize transparency and will provide you with time-stamped photos and any other necessary documentation to support the assessment of damages or incidents.


    Please be aware that the security deposit holds will be captured two days before your check-in and released seven days after your check-out, allowing ample time for any necessary processing. Our goal is to provide you with a safe and enjoyable experience while maintaining the utmost transparency and fairness regarding the security deposit process.

  • What safety measures does Mitten take?

    We care about creating a peaceful and enjoyable environment for all our guests. That's why we've equipped our units with NoiseAware devices to monitor decibel levels. We kindly ask that you be considerate of your neighbors and keep noise levels at a respectful volume. By doing so, you'll contribute to a harmonious atmosphere where everyone can relax and enjoy their stay to the fullest. 


    In our commitment to your safety and the well-being of our community,  each of our locations is equipped with exterior Ring cameras, offering enhanced surveillance for the protection of our valued guests and neighbors. This advanced security feature not only provides peace of mind but also contributes to a sense of safety and comfort throughout your stay.   • Do you accept discount codes?

    You can take advantage of exclusive savings by using valid discount codes during the booking process. Simply input your discount code at check out to unlock fantastic deals on our properties. 


    We also offer special discounts for those planning extended stays, whether it's a week or a month.

  • How can I book my trip?

We want to ensure that you have multiple options to make your reservation process seamless and tailored to your preferences.


    We kindly advise that our partnered platforms may have different cancellation policies in place.   • Do I need to sign a rental agreement?

    We kindly request that everyone completes a rental agreement before their check-in. This agreement contains important details regarding your stay and serves as a mutual understanding between both parties.
